Brisbane coach Chris Fagan admits he wasn’t happy with Nick Robertson calling the Gold Coast Suns “soft” ahead of Saturday’s Q-Clash at Metricon Stadium.

If this week’s contest needed any extra fuel, it sure got it on Thursday when Robertson threw a few barbs at the Lions’ Queensland rival.

“I think they’re soft, to be completely honest,” Robertson told Macquarie Sports Radio.

His coach wasn’t thrilled.

“I was none too happy, at all,” Fagan told 3AW.

“It doesn’t reflect our view of the Gold Coast Suns.

“It’s more Nick’s feeling, I guess, towards them.

“He’s probably said those things and now regrets them.

“Nick will learn a valuable lesson from it.

“He’s going to front up on the weekend and it’s going to be on.

“He’s gotta put his head over the footy.

“It’s obviously great motivation for the Gold Coast Suns and something we need to prepare ourselves for now.”
