Chris Scott has sympathy for Angus Brayshaw after contentious free kick
Geelong coach Chris Scott has sympathy for Angus Brayshaw.
Patrick Dangerfield kicked a crucial goal in Saturday night’s thriller after the Melbourne midfielder held him in a ruck contest.
Brayshaw appeared unaware that Dangerfield had nominated as the Cats’ ruckman.

Scott told 3AW Football the decision was technically correct.
“I don’t think anyone thinks it’s a great rule,” Scott said on Sunday.
“I don’t like the idea of players effectively whispering to the umpire that they’re the ruckman, and no one else knowing.
“Everyone should have an equal chance to know who the ruckmen are.
“It was clear Angus didn’t know Paddy was the ruckman.
“I don’t think anyone loved that free kick.”
Scott said viewers on TV can often hear the umpires better than the players on the field.
