Collingwood AFLW player calls for more double headers in future seasons

Collingwood’s Brit Bonnici says fans are ready for double headers despite none being announced in this year’s AFLW fixture during the crossover period with the men’s competition.

The veteran played in the first-ever AFLW game against Carlton and is preparing for a rematch against the Blues in Round 1.

“People want to be able to embrace Collingwood for all it is,” she tells 3AW Football’s Laura Spurway.

“If we could get the Magpie Army chanting Collingwood like they do for the boys for our match, or even the back end of our match, it’s just a stepping stone for us to get to where we want to get to.”
