Collingwood confirms Adam Treloar needs surgery
Adam Treloar needs surgery on his left hamstring and faces a major stint on the sidelines.
However, Collingwood has not given up hope of him playing again this season.
The Pies announced on Tuesday their gun midfielder would be sidelined until late August due to hamstring injuries he suffered in the final quarter of Sunday’s match against Carlton at the MCG.
He has tendon damage in his left hamstring, which needs surgery, and a strain in his right hamstring.
He’s expected to have surgery by week’s end.
While he faces an uphill battle to play again in 2018, he could feature in finals should Collingwood’s recent run of form continue.
