Collingwood footy boss responds to conjecture about a star defender

Collingwood’s footy boss says he’s “not sure” where speculation about Brayden Maynard’s future with the club came from.

Graham Wright told 3AW he’d seen “no signs” of the star defender wanting to play anywhere but Collingwood next season.

“I think he’s really entrenched at the club, he’s a leader of the club and is contracted,” Wright said.

“Sometimes these things come up and, yeah, I’m quite not sure where.”

Wright also revealed Collingwood was down to four candidates for the coaching job.
