Concern for Patrick McCartin after possibly suffering another concussion

St Kilda forward Patrick McCartin has been injured in the VFL.

McCartin battled a number of concussions in 2016 and appears to have suffered another on Saturday.

The 2014 number one pick was helped off the ground while playing for the Saints’ VFL affiliate Sandringham against Coburg.

Leader reporter Paul Amy told 3AW Football McCartin left the field around the ten-minute mark of the first quarter, and hadn’t returned over half an hour later.
