Conor McKenna to return home to Ireland

Conor McKenna has played his last game for Essendon.

The Irish recruit has told the Bombers he is retiring after 79 games in the red and black.

The 24-year-old told his teammates on Tuesday morning.

He said the “time was right” for him to return home.

McKenna returned to Ireland earlier this year due to homesickness before returning to Australia.
