Rugby league boss Peter V’landys says the MCG “could be an option” to host this year’s NRL grand final.
Mr V’landys made the comment to The Age after Visit Victoria chief executive Brendan McClements said he was keen to grow Victoria’s list of high-profile sporting events.
CEO of Melbourne Storm, Justin Rodski says hosting the NRL grand final would be “incredible” for Melbourne.

“There’s absolutely no doubt to my mind we’d get 100,000 … for an NRL grand final,” he told Neil Mitchell. “It would be the biggest NRL crowd in history.”
