A regional council that rejected an application for a man to come and clean-up his holiday house in preparation for bushfire season says he’ll be able to attend his property soon.

Alan told Neil Mitchell Bass Coast Shire denied his travel permit, despite approving it for the same work last year.

Ali Wastie, Bass Coast Shire CEO, said there was a key difference this time around.

“We are not in bushfire season right now,” she said.

She said it should only be a matter of weeks before he could travel to the property under Victoria’s easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
