Victoria recorded 176 locally-acquired COVID-19 cases yesterday.

Of the new cases, 93 have not yet been linked to known outbreaks.

There are now 61 people with COVID-19 in hospital in Victoria, 20 of those receiving intensive care.

Thirteen people in hospital need a ventilator to breathe.

There were 33,720 vaccine doses administered at state-run clinics yesterday, and 48,372 test results received.

There are now more 1029 active COVID-19 cases in Victoria.

There was also a warning for all of the state to remain vigilant.

Martin Foley said while most of the COVID-19 cases in Melbourne are in the west and north, there is increasing concern about cases and wastewater detections in the east and bayside areas.

South Yarra, Prahran, Toorak, Seaford, Aspendale, Chelsea and Bonbeach were among the suburbs listed.
