Damning Hawthorn racism review reveals shock allegations

Hawthorn has been handed a damning review into the club’s handling of young First Nations players.

The ABC claims the external report reveals allegations that key figures at the club demanded the separation of young Aboriginal players from their partners.

In one instance, the club is accused of pressuring one couple to terminate a pregnancy for the sake of the player’s career.

Alastair Clarkson and Chris Fagan have been named in the damning report.

Hawthorn says it’s providing support to those who took part in the review.

The AFL’s integrity unit is also investigating.
