Daniel Andrews confirms lockdown won’t be ending on Thursday

Lockdown won’t be ending this Thursday.

While official details are still be worked out, Daniel Andrews said on Sunday there were still “far too many cases” of COVID-19 emerging in the community for the government to consider opening up.

The Premier said some rules may be changed, but that is also yet to be confirmed.

“We will look at all available options,” he said.

It comes after 92 new community coronavirus cases were detected in Victoria on Saturday.

Mr Andrews said financial support would continue to be provided to those struggling financially due to lockdown.
