‘Deadset joke’: Tony Shaw questions why James Hird speculation would deter coaching candidates

Questions have been raised around Essendon’s coaching search, with club legend James Hird putting his hand up to coach the club.

On 3AW Football, Tony Shaw can’t see why the ongoing James Hird discussion would deter candidates from pursuing the coaching position.

“If you want to coach and you want the job you go in there and you argue everything you’ve got to make sure you get the job,” Shaw said on 3AW Football.
