Demons CEO Gary Pert says club rallied around Simon Goodwin after board leak

Demons CEO Gary Pert says the club rallied around Premiership coach Simon Goodwin after leaked board documents showed he faced allegations of workplace bullying.

Pert described the leak as “pretty disgraceful” and said “most people would have a pretty good idea” of where it had come from but did not elaborate further.

“It’s unfortunate, I don’t think any coach, or any club would expect documents … to be leaked on to the front page of the Herald Sun (over) multiple days,” he said on Sportsday.

“That’s pretty disgraceful that that would happen.

“But I think for Goody, what he’s seen, he’s probably never experience a rallying of love and support by the club and the players and the board and the footy industry like he’s received in this time.”
