It was a low-scoring match on Friday night, with the Hawks winning by three points on a freezing night in Launceston.

Hawthorn coach Sam Mitchell post-game said the conditions played a massive part in the low-scoring, and Leigh Matthews had the same view, stating the match was a “deplorable spectacle”.

“Heavy dew creates terrible playing conditions and it makes ball handling skills very difficult,” Matthews said on 3AW Football.

“The old debate about should you have a stadium down there with a roof, so you don’t get the heavy dew, that was alive and well last night.”

Brisbane premiership coach and Tasmanian Chris Fagan joined 3AW Football and was asked about the on-going situation surrounding the future of Tasmania’s AFL team.

“Sometimes I shake my head about what happens in Tasmania,” Fagan said.
