‘Elite standards’: The Carlton gun who new recruit is modelling game on

New Carlton recruit Jagga Smith says he immediately gravitated towards new teammate Sam Walsh during his first AFL pre-season.

The onballer was taken with pick three in last year’s draft, widely impressing in his first few months at the club.

Joining Jimmy Bartel in the studio, Smith said he’s already modelling his training standards on Walsh.

“Early on it was Sam Walsh (who I really want to learn off),” he said on Wide World of Sports.

“He’s a great player to look at as a young kid coming in, he has elite habits and elite standards.”
