3AW host Shane McInnes has questioned the level of security inside shopping centres as well as at Parliament House.

It comes after a man stole 16 phones in a brazen daylight robbery at a store in Westfield Southland last week, as well as pro-Palestinian protestErs breaching security and climbing onto the Parliament House roof today.

“The Australian Federal Police should be embarrassed by what transpired today,” McInnes said.

Founder and Managing Director of Praesidum Risk and Resilience, Scott Taylor, then spoke with Shane McInnes and said there “definitely needs to be more work done” with security inside shopping centres.

“That’s a concern for a number of reasons,” Mr Taylor said on the protesters breaching security at Parliament House today.

Press PLAY to hear him weigh in on both incidents (including a broader discussion on security)
