Essendon confirms next season will be John Worsfold’s last as coach

Ben Rutten will replace John Worsfold as Essendon coach at the end of next season.

The Bombers announced the news on Tuesday.

Worsfold will coach Essendon in 2020 as planned, before Rutten, who will serve as his senior assistant, takes on the job from 2021.

He’s been handed a three-year deal.
