Essendon fans will be ‘scratching their heads’ as AFL makes fixture changes

The AFL has locked in fixture changes for the two Opening Round clashes postponed due to Cyclone Alfred.

Brisbane will now take on Geelong on the Saturday night of Round 3 instead of opening the season as originally scheduled.

But it was the AFL’s call on Gold Coast’s home clash with Essendon which perplexed Mark Allen.

“Hang onto your hats,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“If you barrack for Essendon, get ready to scratch your heads.”
