‘Families are doing it tough’: How Jacinta Allan is approaching crucial by-election

Jacinta Allan says she’s focused on helping struggling families ahead of a crucial by-election in Melbourne’s west this weekend.

While Werribee has traditionally been a safe Labor seat, recent polls have suggested the race could be a lot closer than expected.

With both Werribee and Prahran up for grabs on Saturday, the Premier told Tom Elliott she is fully aware of her responsibility to deliver benefits for Victorians.

“I know families are doing it tough and they’re looking for governments to do more,” she said on 3AW Mornings.

“It’s my responsibility to listen and respond to that.”
