The father of a schoolgirl who was walking with her friend when he was attacked and suffered life-altering injuries says he’s “flabbergasted” by the Attorney-General’s claim there’s no youth crime crisis.

Speaking yesterday, Attorney-General Jaclyn Symes said she wouldn’t discuss “a youth crime crisis that doesn’t exist”.

Russell, a Glen Eira College parent, says “the data doesn’t lie”, and he wants Ms Symes to “go and spend a week with those police that actually are responsible for trying to do something about this”.
