Fears for the Footy Show’s future after more poor ratings

The Footy Show’s future remains in doubt after more poor ratings.

Ratings figures showed 248,000 people watched The Footy Show on Thursday, well behind rival The Front Bar (292,000).

Fox Sports’ Tom Morris told 3AW Football the long-running Footy Show’s time may have come.

“It’s use-by date was a long time ago,” Tom said on Saturday night football’s Press Pass segment.

“Sometimes shows just don’t fit on television anymore.”

The rest of the call team agreed.

Daniel Harford said he hasn’t watched the show for “a good 15 years”, while Scott Lucas said it’s “unlikely” The Footy Show will be able to continue.
