Foreign Affairs expert discusses the likelihood of an Israeli invasion of Gaza

A ground invasion in Gaza is inevitable according to a foreign affairs expert.

Dr David Wright-Neville says there is no doubt Israel will send troops into Gaza but he suspects it will be delayed.

“I don’t think there is any real, concrete vision about what they want to achieve, apart from destroying Gaza and we’ve discussed that not being a likely scenario,” he told Neil Mitchell.

He also discussed what it means for both Australia and the United States to be preparing for a region-wide war.

“Clearly, America is putting pressure on Israel to delay for as long as they can,” he said.
