Former Melbourne star David Schwarz says AFL matches should be postponed if more than a third of a club’s list is unavailable due to COVID-19.

The issue has been a big talking point after West Coast was hammered by COVID-19 cases last weekend, with more than a dozen players unavailable due to coronavirus exposure.

Speaking in his regular slot with Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive, Schwarz said it wasn’t fair.

“I think if you lose more than a third of your list, the game shouldn’t be cancelled but it should be postponed to a different time,” he said.
