Former Melbourne star Brad Green has shared details of what he says was one of the “greatest all-time speeches” from Neale Daniher in the 2004 elimination final.

Green joined 3AW’s Footy: Then and Now podcast ahead of week one of the finals, where he also shared his views on the three biggest threats to Melbourne going back-to-back this year.

Melbourne ultimately lost to Essendon in that 2004 final, now infamously the Bombers’ last taste of any September success.

But it’s safe to say Green has no sympathy for the long-suffering Bombers!
