FULL TIME
Essendon has won by 22 points at the Gabba.
Bomber captain Dyson Heppell was concussed in the second quarter, but has an extra week to recover as the Bombers have the bye in Round 13.
Gun midfielder Zach Merrett told 3AW he spoke to Heppell after the game, and he seemed okay.
AFL legend Leigh Matthews was particularly impressed with Brisbane defender Harris Andrews.
Andrews set the all-time record for one-percenters against Sydney in Round 10 with 25, and effected 20 today against the Bombers.
Six of his 12 marks were contested.

THE BUILD-UP
Essendon’s revival came to a stuttering halt last week.
The Bombers managed just six goals against Richmond in the Dreamtime clash.
Brisbane continues to play well without winning, although they also need a response from last week’s disappointing loss to North Melbourne.
The stage is set for a clash between two desperate sides!
