FULL TIME
Gold Coast has made it two from two with a convincing 34-point win over Carlton.
Tom Lynch starred up forward, booting eight goals.
=====
HALF TIME
The Suns lead by 27 points at the main break.
Tom Lynch has already booted six goals in a dominant key forward’s role.
The Suns has been significantly more efficient going forward. In fact, the Blues have had 37 inside 50s to 23.
“It’s just an incredible inefficiency of scoring… a terrible display of forward half footy,” Leigh Matthews said.

The Blues have been dealt a blow before the bounce.
Matthew Kreuzer has been withdrawn with a groin injury.
It’s not exactly a like-for-like replacement, with 177cm, 76kg Cam Polson replacing the ruckman for his second game.
The Suns are unchanged.

THE BUILD-UP
The Blues and Suns are two sides on the rise.
On the back of five goals from rising star Charlie Curnow, Carlton ran the reigning premiers right to the line in Round 1, while the Suns overcame torrid conditions (and the Kangaroos) to win their opening round match.
Now, the stage is set for one of the two sides to stake their claim as the next contender.
With the season set to be as close as most of us can remember, it’s these sorts of matches that are the most important.
