Giants out gun gallant Pies in bruising MCG clash
FULL TIME WRAP
GWS have fought off a gutsy Collingwood outfit to run out 16 point winners at the MCG. The Magpies hit the front mid way through the fourth quarter but the Giants were able to bounce back thanks to a big final quarter from Stephen Coniglio and Zac Langdon.
The Giants didn’t have it all their own way in front of 30,941 fans but kicked 5.3 to 3.0 in the final term.
GWS lead at every break and were able to scrape home against a undermanned Collingwood side. Tim Broomhead broke his leg in the first quarter while Darcy Moore did not return after half time.
Tom Scully also ended up being stretchered off after breaking his ankle in the first quarter.

Collingwood trail the Giants by just one point at the final change in a bruising encounter at the MCG.
