Richmond has completed a 43-point win in front of 72,157 fans at the G.

The Tigers took full advantage of the Magpies’ short turnaround, running home with eight goals in the final term.

Josh Caddy finished with four goals, while Jack Riewoldt and Dan Butler booted three.

Tiger star Alex Rance told 3AW the team will use Collingwood as a measuring stick.

“Collingwood are going to be a good side this year, so it’s good to get that benchmark for us going forward,” he said.

“The last two weeks have been a good, contested brand.”

HALF TIME

Collingwood leads by four points at half time.

Mason Cox and Will Hoskin-Elliott have two goals each in a low-scoring contest.

Exciting youngster Jack Higgins has two majors for the Tigers.

=====

LATE CHANGE

Flynn Appleby will make his debut for Collingwood.

Tom Langdon didn’t come up after the four-day break and has been withdrawn.

Magpies’ assistant coach Garry Hocking told 3AW Football about the medium-sized defender.

“He really deserves his opportunity,” Hocking said.

“He’s gone to work early and won a lot of respect throughout the club.”

THE BUILD-UP

It seems like just 90 hours ago the Pies were celebrating victory on Anzac Day.

But they’ll have to put that behind them to take on the league’s benchmark club.

The Tigers have roared into their premiership defence with some ferocity, and can reclaim top spot on the ladder with victory on Sunday.

The stage is set for an epic clash, and 3AW Football is the best place to follow it all!
