FULL TIME

Geelong has won by 22 points to join Adelaide on eight wins.

Dynamic duo Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield were the Cats’ best contributors again.

3AW expert Tony Shaw said Adelaide didn’t “commit their bodies to the contest”.

“That’s an indictment on your team,” Shawry said.

Dwayne Russell has made an extraordinary promise to footy fans in Geelong.

Following last week’s offer from KFC to give a burger to everyone if a visiting player kicked a set shot from inside 50 out on the full, Dwayne said he’ll shout a beer at his bar if it happens tonight.

HALF TIME

Geelong leads by 29 points after a dominant first half.

Once again, it’s the Dangerwood combo who is leading from the front.

Tom Hawkins, playing his 200th game, could be in trouble for a jumper punch on Matt Crouch.

But 3AW expert Matthew Lloyd said it wasn’t enough to warrant a suspension.

Geelong’s forwards coach James Rahilly spoke to 3AW before the game.

He said Harry Taylor is playing an important role in the forward 50.

“His defence and his ability to bring the ball to where we want it – and to keep his man away from the other forwards – is fantastic,” Rahilly said.

“If he keeps doing that, and dobs a few goals, we’ll be very happy.”
