North Melbourne has run out 86-point winners in Hobart.
Ben Brown booted five goals, one more than the entire Blues side.
Shaun Higgins (35 disposals, 11 clearances) was outstanding in a four-quarter effort.
Higgins told 3AW Football the Roos think Brown should be held in higher regard in the wider football world.
“In our eyes, he should have been in the All Australian team (last year),” Higgins said.
“If he keeps performing like he did tonight, it won’t be long until he’s held up in the same esteem as other key forwards.”

In a huge blow for the Blues, Marc Murphy injured himself in the warm-up and has been withdrawn.
Nick Graham has come into the 22.
North Melbourne takes on Carlton in the first of three Tasmanian home games.
Making the trip south are two teams with one win between them this season, so all 44 players will be fighting hard for the points.
North boasts an impressive record in Hobart, having won 11 of its 15 matches there and 10 of the last 12.
Robbie Tarrant returns for the Roos, while Carlton has brought in debutant Lochie O’Brien as one of three inclusions.
