Richmond has belted Adelaide by 47 points.

It was a very similar scoreline to the last time these teams met at the MCG, which the Tigers won by 48 points.

It is their 17th consecutive win at the MCG.

No fewer than six Tigers kicked multiple goals.

Tigers skipper Trent Cotchin told 3AW the team still wants to get better.

“There are plenty of areas we want to improve on,” he said.

Suspended Tiger Nick Vlastuin spoke to 3AW Football before the game.

He said he defied his teammates’ orders when he took a hanger on Lance Franklin last week.

“Against Freo, I went for a hanger and I hit the ground before the ball even got there,” Vlastuin said.

“Dave Astbury and Dylan Grimes came over to me and said ‘mate, never do that again’.

“So I haven’t tried it, haven’t practiced at training.

“It was just the perfect set-up.”

Vlastuin confirmed the AFL sent him a photo of the mark in the mail.

“I’m not joking! It rocked up mid-week in a big parcel,” he said.

279 days after the Crows were humbled on Grand Final day, they return to face the Tigers.

Adelaide got revenge, of sorts, with victory in Round 2, but if they really want to exorcise their demons, they’ll beat the Tigers on their home deck.

However, Richmond has worked hard to reclaim top spot, and won’t be giving it up any time soon.

The stage is set for a Friday night classic!
