FULL TIME

Richmond has hung on for a thrilling three-point win.

With Geelong charging home, Gary Ablett missed a kickable chance that would have put the Cats in front late in the piece.

Matthew Lloyd said he could see Ablett saying “I’m sorry” to his teammates after the siren.

“He was devastated,” Lloydy said.

Richmond lead by five points at the main change.

The Tigers had opened up a four-goal lead before the Cats fought back late in the second term.

Matthew Lloyd highlighted Patrick Dangerfield as one who recovered from a slow start to bring the Cats back into it.

“A massive pat on the back. He was huge,” Lloydy said.
