FULL TIME

Sydney has won by 15 points.

The Swans joined West Coast on top of the ladder with 10 wins, although the Eagles have a match in hand.

Both the Eagles’ losses this season have been to Sydney.

Matthew Lloyd said Elliot Yeo was the best player on the ground in a losing side.

“Every one of his disposals counts,” Lloydy said.

HALF TIME

Sydney leads by 14 points at the main break.

The Swans were kept goalless in the first quarter, although the Eagles only scored one of their own in that time.

Sydney then piled on five goals in the second term to break open a handy lead.

COACH’S PETS

West Coast midfield coach Sam Mitchell spoke to 3AW before the clash.

Jimmy Bartel asked the former Hawthorn champion who his favourite players are.

Sam nominated Andrew Gaff and Jack Redden.

“Those two turn up every week and I know what I’m going to get out of them.”

Matthew Lloyd said he thinks Mitchell has a bright future as a senior coach.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if Alastair Clarkson goes another 2-3 years,” Lloydy said.

“He (Mitchell) is the next Hawthorn coach.”
