West Coast have booked their spot in the preliminary final, prevailing by 16 points in a thriller encounter.

A stadium-record 59,585 saw their side play out a belter.

Elliot Yeo, who had 36 touches, said post-game he was still coming to terms with the victory.

“It’s a bit surreal and it’ll take a few days to settle in,” he said.

HALF TIME

It has all the making of a Saturday night finals thriller as West Coast take a slender two-point lead into half time.

There were seven lead changes in the second  quarter alone.

Elliot Yeo has a game-high 18 touches for West Coast, while both Brody Mihovrk and Liam Ryan have two goals.

Tony Shaw noted the see-sawing nature of the game at half time.

“Everyone who had an impact in the first quarter, didn’t have one in the second,” he said.

THE BUILD-UP

The second of today’s finals double header promises to be action-packed as two of the league’s powerhouses clash at Optus Stadium.

In front of what could be the biggest crowd to ever attend an AFL game in Perth, West Coast will be looking to book their spot in a prelim final in a fortnight.

Meanwhile, the Pies are back in finals action for the first time since 2013 and will be looking to cause the upset and silence the big home crowd.

It’s all happening on Super Saturday so make sure you don’t miss a moment with the No. 1 commentary team in the game on 3AW Football!
