Bulldog star Marcus Bontempelli had his best game of the year, racking up 30 touches and laying seven tackles in midfield.
He denied the rumour that he’s been carrying an injury.
“You go into every game with a bit of soreness,” Bontempelli told 3AW after the game.
“That’s part of being an AFL player.”

HALF TIME
The Bulldogs lead by 23 points after a scrappy half.
The Blues have been disappointing with the ball use and their fluency.
Lloydy: “I’d hate to be a Carlton forward tonight. Their first option is to go backwards or sideways. All it’s doing is protecting the scoreboard.” #AFLDogsBlues

A frustrated fan, George, spoke with Nat Edwards on the boundary just before half time.
“I want to see some more passion,” he said.
“We realise we’ve got to be patient but, at times you can run out of patience.”

Bulldogs director of football Chris Grant spoke to 3AW Football before the game.
He said last week’s performance against Fremantle was disappointing, but the club was satisfied with the players’ effort away against Fremantle.
“We felt like a we played a really good brand of footy,” Grant said.
“When you put it in context, we’re talking about an incredibly young team probably going on the hardest journey in footy.”
