FULL TIME

The Bulldogs have snapped an 11-game losing streak against the Cats in a Friday night thriller.

Harry Taylor had a chance to snatch the win after the siren, but his shot sailed wide.

It came as a massive relief to the Bulldogs, who lost in similar circumstances last week.

VERY LATE CHANGE

Matt Suckling has been withdrawn just before the bounce.

Lin Jong is in.

Suckling was due to play his first match since round 11, having had an Achilles injury.

Interestingly, Jong will be wearing Shane Biggs’ number 24 instead of his usual 46, as his jumper wasn’t at the venue.

Matthew Lloyd said it’s weird that Jong’s jumper wasn’t available but Biggs’ was, given Biggs was not an emergency.

=====

The Bulldogs have released two bobble-heads for tonight’s match.

Fans can pick up a miniature Marcus Bontempelli or Easton Wood at various points of Etihad Stadium.

Wood told 3AW it’s a “new experience” for him.

“It’s quite a strange thing to see yourself in bobble-head form!” he said.

Wood said his injured hamstring is recovering well, but conceded he probably won’t return this year.

THE BUILD-UP

Geelong enters this one as hot favourites as they look to consolidate their spot in the eight.

But the Bulldogs will be out to avenge last week’s loss.

The Dogs let a golden opportunity slip against North Melbourne, and coach Luke Beveridge will have made sure his charges put themselves in a position to win again.
