The Power have jumped back into the top four with a commanding, 44-point win in Ballarat.
Power forward Charlie Dixon’s five goals proved decisive on a tough, low-scoring day.
Port 11.12 (78)
Bulldogs 5.4 (34)
The gloomy conditions and small-ground lighting made it pretty tough for the players, particularly late in the game.
Dixon, who was named best afield by Cameron Ling, told 3AW it was hard to see the other side of the ground.
“I had the last four minutes on the bench,” he said.
“The ball was played on the other wing… it was very hard to see where the ball was.
“If they’re going to play a game here, it should be a little earlier.”
Tim: “This game shouldn’t have been scheduled at 3:20. This is like night football without the lights.” #AFLDogsPower

The Bulldogs may not make the finals, but they can have a big say in the make-up of the eight in Ballarat today.
The Dogs will deal Port’s Top 4 chances a big blow if they can spring an upset on Sunday.
But they’ll have to overcome an injury crisis that keeps getting deeper: the Dogs have lost key players Luke Dahlhaus, Tom Boyd, and Billy Gowers for this clash.
Can the Dogs do it at Mars Stadium? Or will Port power back into the Top 4?
