FULL TIME

Sydney has snuck home by seven points in a thriller.

The margin had been just one point before Ollie Florent kicked the sealer with 23 seconds left.

Lance Franklin booted three goals and was a commanding presence up forward in the second half.

Florent spoke to 3AW after kicking the match-winning goal.

“I just had to throw it on the boot and somehow it rolled in!”

HALF TIME

The Bulldogs lead by 10 points after an entertaining half.

Tory Dickson has booted two majors for the Bulldogs, including an absolute belter from the pocket (see below).

Tony Shaw said the Dogs have executed their plan to control possession of the ball well.

“I think it’s been a brilliant strategy,” Shawry said.

THE BUILD-UP

The Bulldogs scored a much-needed win last week after an underwhelming opening fortnight.

The Dogs sang the song twice in the rooms just to drive home the point that there’s nothing wrong with the harmony at the club.

The Swans took the honours in the Sydney Derby, with Buddy Franklin booting two goals in the final minutes to seal the points.

Will the Dogs’ depleted backline – now also missing the suspended Zaine Cordy – be able to contain the superstar? Or will the Swans put the heat right back on the 2016 premier?
