Gerard Healy says AFL missed opportunity to eradicate on-field violence
Gerard Healy says the AFL missed a golden opportunity to eradicate on-field violence today.
While he backed the “overdue” outlawing of punches – which will now automatically result in a free kick – he said it should have come with another new rule.
“The red card should have been introduced,” he said.
“That should have been the 1,2 punch to on-field violence.”
