Gillon McLachlan says pressure on coaches is ‘getting difficult’
AFL chief Gillon McLachlan says the pressure on being senior coach shows no signs of letting up as scrutiny on the game intensifies.
The competition has seen two coaches either stepping away or quitting within a week, with Alastair Clarkson is taking a break from coaching North Melbourne, followed by Damien Hardwick resigning from Richmond.
McLachlan told Neil Mitchell “this industry is getting difficult”.

“I think there are people finding the scrutiny challenging at the moment and I’m not sure that’s going away,” he sad.
“I think … you’ve got to accept that if you’re going to work in a senior role in this game.”
