Tom Elliott

Residents in the Gippsland area where bushfires are currently out of control have detailed how their towns are coping.

Emergency warnings are in place for Seacombe, Loch Sport, Stockdale, Iguana Creek, Glenaladale, with the bushfire in Briagolong doubling in size and is currently out of control.

Owner of the Loch Sport Caravan Park Ray Johnson said it’s a “wait and see” approach in his town, while owner of the Briagolong General Store Sandra Knowles says her town is “feeling relatively safe” at the moment.
