Glenn Luff assesses Essendon’s greatest weakness going into 2018
Glenn Luff believes Devon Smith will be Essendon’s key recruit this year.
That’s because he can bolster what Luff perceives to be the Bombers’ greatest weakness – their midfield.
“They can’t rely on a bookend game,” Luff told Sportsday on Tuesday.
Luff, responsible for the AFL Prospectus, said Smith can play as a permanent midfielder, whereas fellow recruits Jake Stringer and Adam Saad cannot.
