Young Charlie has received some great news after his much-loved bike was stolen from outside school last week.

Neil Mitchell spoke with 12-year-old Charlie last Friday, he said his bike, which he had slowly saved for for years, was locked up outside his school when it was taken.

3AW Mornings was inundated with offers from people to help, so much so we had to stop taking them.

Charlie’s mum Paula today gave Neil some good news.

“I got a call yesterday from Brunswick Police to say they’d found his bike,” Paula said.

“He was so excited, he was almost speechless, happiest kid you’ve ever seen.”

“I just want to thank My Ride in Brunswick and Tom from Ashburton Cycles, who invited Charlie over and gave him a new helmet and a bunch of different bits and pieces.”
