Government must ‘step in’ after terrifying Frankston carjackings

Tom Elliott is urging the government to “step in” and implement mandatory sentencing for crimes such as aggravated burglaries and carjacking.
His comments come after a 24-year-old male was charged with several alleged carjackings in Frankston on Thursday.
The 3AW Mornings host said the community was fed up with criminals escaping jail time.

“In the real world people have had enough,” he said on 3AW.
“The government needs to step in and do something about it.”
