GWS chairman calls on the AFL to focus ‘heavily’ on growing participation in Western Sydney
GWS chairman Tony Shepherd has called on the AFL to focus “very heavily” on growing the level of participation in Western Sydney.
Shepherd claimed active participation in real games in Western Sydney is “very, very low” and went as far as to label it “peanuts”.
“It’s a growing community, our product is brilliant, it’s what they like, it’s what families like and those that try it always love it,” Shepherd told 3Aw Football.
