Harf: Contact below the knees rule is an “overreaction”

Daniel Harford has roasted the contact below the knees rule.
Harf told 3AW Football the rule stemmed from an “overreaction” based on a one-off incident between Gary Rohan and Lindsay Thomas in 2012.
“I don’t like and it’s been an overreaction from the start,” he said.
“The umpires are doing nothing wrong and paying the free kicks under the current rules but there needs to be a re-think as to whether this is the right thing for our game.
