Hundreds of Australians are stranded overseas following widespread delays, diversions and cancellations due to tensions in the Middle East.

With a ceasefire now in place between Iran and Israel, flights are expected to resume in the coming hours, but it didn’t stop plenty of people being caught in the chaos after Iran attacked a US army base in Qatar in the early hours of Tuesday morning (AEST).

Jess, who joined Jacqui Felgate from Hamad International Airport in Doha, said she was mentally and physically exhausted due to the constant delays.

“We haven’t slept in over 25 hours,” she said on 3AW Drive.

“We don’t know our next move and don’t know how long we’re stranded for.”
