Hawks coach Sam Mitchell ‘tried too much’ in preliminary loss to Geelong

The Cats proved too strong for Hawthorn in Friday night’s preliminary final, winning by 24 points to lock in their spot on grand final day.

3AW Football’s Matthew Lloyd had his say on the match post-game and thought Hawks coach Sam Mitchell “tried too much” in their loss.

“It was a belting in the end, to be honest,” Lloyd said on 3AW Football.
