Hawks president reveals ‘good steps’ taken to resolve racism saga

Hawthorn president Andy Gowers has revealed last week’s talks to try resolve the ongoing racism scandal were positive.

In-person Human Rights Commission talks too place between the parties accusing Alastair Clarkson and Chris Fagan of racism in their time at the Hawks, as the affected parties continue to work towards resolving the long-term issue.

“Last week was a good step towards a resolution,” Gowers revealed on 3AW.

“We want an appropriate and fair outcome for all involved in a timely manner.”
